FAQs and Troubleshooting

Our hope is that your card personalized e-card gets sent and received without a problem. But in case that doesn't happen, here are some common problems and what to do about them.

"The recipient can't see the e-card."

These e-cards use Flash, a free software plug-in from Adobe. The recipient will need to download and install the latest version of this software to see the e-card.

"The recipient can't see the e-card on their mobile phone."

Many smartphones, like the iPhone, don't support Flash, the software used to build these e-cards. The recipient will need to view the cards on a laptop or desktop computer.

"The recipient didn't receive the e-card."

Technically, they're not going to receive an e-card, they're going to receive an email with a link to an e-card. If that's what you mean, it's entirely possible that the email went into their spam (or bulk or junk) folder. Tell them to open that folder and check there.

There's a slight chance that if you entered an email in the correct FORMAT but with a typo (e.g. john@example.cim vs. john@example.com), our filters won't catch the mistake. In that case, forward the recipient the link you received in your confirmation email.

"The e-card store wouldn't let me send to more than one person."

You can send to more than one person. You just have to make a different donation for each person you want to send an e-card to.

"I accidentally closed the PayPal page before I finished completing all the form fields."

No problem. If you never saw a "receipt" page, your account hasn't been charged. Just start over by picking the card and donation amount you want.

If you did see a "receipt" page, that means your account has been charged. To complete the process and send an e-card, you'll have to start over, including making another donation. (However, you can choose "other" and enter a trivial donation amount the second time around if you'd like.)

"I accidentally closed the page before I finished completing the form."

Oops. That's a slight problem, because there's no way of retrieving the information you already put on there. Here's a workaround. Start the process over again. Since you've already made a donation, choose "other" and enter a trivial donation amount this time around.
